What is PayPal / PayPal Trouble-shooting

PayPal.com is an online payment system, in which you can use your credit card or bank account to make payments, whichever you choose.

Why we chose PayPal?

Trust: We use the PayPal.com service to process our credit card orders because they have established the trust of millions of online users. PayPal has become a household name among eBay users and the rest of the internet world is steadily discovering this revolutionary means of doing internet business.

Customer Security: When you send money using PayPal, the only information the recipient sees is your email address, date of sign up, and whether you have a confirmed address. Payment recipients (we) never see your credit card or checking account numbers. You don't have to worry about giving your credit card number out all over the place, when you use PayPal to send money.

Cost Effective: Keeping our expenses low means that we can give our customers the best possible price. Unlike traditional merchant accounts, PayPal does not have monthly minimums and no set-up fees or monthly statement fees. They only charge a small percentage of the sale plus a small transaction fee. In addition, they make it possible for us to keep our web hosting service cost down, because your financial information is entered on their secure server.

Easy To Use: You start with a simple sign-up procedure; address, account number, password... PayPal keeps this information for you so during future use you just have to enter your password.

The first time you use PayPal's service you'll need to enter your address and contact information on their form, in addition to entering it on our order form. We hope that entering this information twice during your first order process is not too inconvenient.

  What is 'Error 3010'?
A1. Because PayPal is a financial website, it must be accessed in Secure Mode. Error 3010 indicates that the URL or link you accessed is not in Secure Mode. To access PayPal in Secure Mode, follow these tips:

1. Look at the URL in the email or in the browser window. Make sure that there is an "s" after "http" -- that is, https://www.paypal.com and not http://www.paypal.com. The "s" following "http" signifies the Secure Mode. Another indication of Secure Mode is a closed padlock symbol in the lower corner of your browser window.

2. If you do not see an "s", type the "s" after "http" and press the Enter key. You will be in Secure Mode and can access PayPal's secure pages.

I am having trouble registering my card with PayPal.
A5. Possible reasons & suggested solutions:
  • American Express Corporate Card - American Express has chosen not to allow use of their corporate cards in the PayPal system at this time. You may be able to use a private card and have your company reimburse you.
  • VISA MC or Discovery Corporate Cards - If someone in your organization has already established a PayPal account with this same card, you will not be able to use it unless you know the password they set up for the account and their email address. This is done for security reasons. In order for a card to be added to another PayPal account, it would need to be removed from the account that it is currently registered. If you cannot locate the account information necessary to do this, you may be able to use a private card and have your company reimburse you.
  • Address is not accurate - You may not be able to register your credit card if the address at which you receive your monthly billing statement does not exactly match the address which you entered when trying to register that card with PayPal. Check your credit card statement for an exact match, and then try registering your credit card again.
  • Card verification number - You may not be able to register your credit card if you did not correctly enter the card verification number. The card verification number is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after and to the right of your card number.

After I hit the "Submit" button it goes nowhere.
A6. There may be a compatibility problem between your browser and the script on our website, which causes you to be unable to connect to the paypal website. You can get there by clicking this link www.paypal.com and "send" payment to brenda@rightad.com .
